Persons of Interest Sought in Thefts from Autos


From Gwendolyn Crump: Between Sunday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 15, 2012, the Second District experienced a series of thefts from autos in the parking garage of the 2400 block Calvert Street, NW and the 2600 block of Woodley Road, NW.  These thefts occurred around the midnight hour. 


The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two individuals who were in the area during that time.  


Both subjects are described as white males.  One was wearing a blue jacket with tan pants and a dark colored baseball hat.  The second subject was wearing dark pants and a dark colored jacket with a dark baseball cap and a black backpack.  Video surveillance captured these subjects entering and exiting the parking garage.  


The stolen items included laptops and GPS systems.
