Popular Dupont Circle Bar/Dance Club Has Liquor License Suspended Indefinitely

Cafe Citron, the Latin dance bar located at 1343 Connecticut Avenue in Dupont, has had its liquor license suspended indefinitely by the D.C. Alcohol Beverage Control Board according to a sign on the club's door(featured above).

Although it is unclear what exactly prompted the the suspension, which began on April 29, the sign on the door of Citron says that the bar was in "violation of Title 25 of the District of Columbia Official Code and/or Title 23 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations", which could be a variety of different offenses, including some listed on the Official Code.

Shake Shack in Dupont Opens Today!

Shake Shack in Dupont Opens Today!

Shake Shack in Dupont Circle, located on Connecticut Avenue where the Fuddrucker's used to be, will open for business, and burgers, today, May 17, at 11:00 a.m..

Shake Shack, which has locations in New York, Miami, and other areas, will serve griddle-prepard burgers(which flame-grilled establishments like  BGR will almost certainly scoff at), dogs, those tasty Nathan's-style rigged fries, as well as shakes.

It will be interesting to see how Shake Shack stacks up against its new Capital city competition.  Not only will it have Ray's Hell Burger across the river in Rosslyn, but it will also have BGR as its neighbor.
