Washington Hilton Offers Festive Drink Promotions, Perfect for Social Gatherings

From Jessica Zachar:

The holidays are the quintessential time to gather with friends and family to mark the end of a year and a hopeful start to a new one. To celebrate the season, Washington Hilton is offering new beer and wine flights in their two restaurants, both spacious enough to be a great gathering place for guests and neighbors to relax downtown and have a few drinks.

VIDEO: Tour of D.C.'s Food Truck Pop-Up Shop

This week from December 13-December 17, one D.C. food truck is taking their act indoors.

The BBQ Bus food truck, along with Uncurbed D.C.(a new organization which is dedicated to hosting "traveling food truck restaurants") will launch a pop-up food shop at 2805 M Street in Georgetown.

The food truck pop-up shop is a first in D.C. and it will feature traditional ribs and sandwiches from the BBQ bus, but also allow guests to sit and eat in a relaxed setting.  The shop, which will be open from 6 p.m. each night will offer first come, first serve seating.

Jeff Kelley, the man behind Uncurbed as well the Eat Wonky food truck, showed off the pop-up space before the tables and chairs had been moved in.

Take a look at the video above to see the space and check out the pop-up shop all this week in Georgetown!

D.C.: Get Ready To Eat...Easier

D.C.: Get Ready To Eat...Easier

The D.C. food scene is one that has seen an incredible amount of expansion in the recent past.

“I’ve been living in D.C. for about five years and I’ve seen the growth tremendously,” Mike Isabella, Chef/Owner of Graffiato explained.  “There are chefs coming from all over the country to be here; you have chefs who are inside the city who are growing and expanding and doing more.  It’s the capital of America, why wouldn’t you want to start in D.C.?”

These are just some of the reasons why CityEats, a brand new website dedicated to helping diners discover and make reservations at restaurants throughout the area, chose the District as their launch city.
