Brace Yourself D.C.: Chick-fil-A Food Truck To Debut in Farragut On Monday | Restaurants
Many of my friends love Chick-fil-A. Many of my friends also love food trucks. The group of my friends who love both Chick-fil-A AND food trucks are about to see a fanciful dream realized.
That’s right people: Chick-fil-A is about to hit the D.C. streets on wheels.
The brand new Chick-fil-A food truck will make its debut in the District on Monday, July 9, serving lunch from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. right by Farragut North.
The Chick-fil-A truck in the Downtown D.C. will most likely be a smashing success, although the concept just makes me think of hundreds of post-lunch chicken-stained suits and dresses.
Anyway here are the deets(yeah I said ‘deets’!): Customers will be able to pay $8 to receive one entrée(either the Chick-fil-A Original Chicken Sandwich or 8-count Chicken Nuggets) as well as two sides(options include Cole Slaw, Side Salads, Fruit Cups, Potato Chips or Fudge Brownies). You can also order menu items individually.
A new lunch destination will be announced each day at 9 a.m. on the truck’s Twitter page, which you can follow @chickfilamobile. Other potential locations include Union Station, Navy Yard, Metro Center and M Street. Lunch will be served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m..
And if that news wasn’t enough for people who love the idea of a Chick-fil-A-focused food truck, this tidbit surely set them off: On Friday, July 13, the truck will honor the restaurant’s “Cow Appreciation Day” by awarding free meals to customers who dress up fully or partially in cow attire. The Cow Appreciation Day deal will also be available at Chick-Fil-A restaurants throughout the area on Friday.
Now I’m imagining people walking all over downtown with plastic udders superimposed over chicken-stained suits and dresses. This could get a little weird…and by weird I mean AWESOME.
