$2,600 Monthly For A Studio, $5,000 For A 2 Bedroom Apartment At New Foggy Bottom Residences?
Real Estate

I, like many throughout D.C, have been keeping an eye on the "Residences on The Avenue"  in Foggy Bottom for quite some time now.

It was just over three years ago that ground was broken on the site, then known as "Square 54", as a joint effort between The George Washington University and Boston Properties.

Now it's 2011, and The Avenue is nearing completion.  The complex will feature eateries like Sweetgreen, Roti, and Circa, and sits directly across the street from the Foggy Bottom Metro.  The building will also have a Whole Foods.

Many people expected the apartments at The Avenue to be expensive...but maybe not this expensive.

According to The Avenue's pricing sheet, studio apartments, which range between 526-648 square feet, are available for a market rent of between $2600-$2820 per month.

1 bedroom/den units, with space ranging between 731-1050 sq. ft., are running for a market rent of $3847-$4238 monthly.
