'Breaking Bad' and 'Modern Family' top Emmys

As Breaking Bad continues its intense journey to its final moments, its cast and crew were all smiles at the Emmy Awards.

With its series climax airing in a week, the AMC show won best drama series on Sunday night.

Brides Against Breast Cancer wedding gown sale this weekend

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Brides Against Breast Cancer will host a charity gown sale at the Dupont Circle Hotel at 1500 New Hampshire Avenue on September 13th and 14th.

Friday afternoon, the organization's big pink truck will arrive at the hotel's loading dock with 1,000 gowns. At 6 p.m., brides will get the first look at the gowns at a soldout VIP event.

The next day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. brides, friends and family will be able to go through the gowns.  Most gown prices range from $99 to $799.

You can also help the organization by donating your newer gown for a tax deduction. You can also attend or volunteer at a gown show.

Angry baker smashes WUSA9's camera into pieces

Washington, DC (WUSA9) -- A Dupont staple closed for a second time in a month.  And an angry baker breaks our camera into pieces. Those and 3 other emergency closures this week.

Inspectors temporarily closed, The Great Steak and Potato Company, 50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE; Café Divan, 1832 Wisconsin Avenue, NW; Heritage Indian and Café Luna/Malgudi, 1633 P Street, NW; Chipotle, 12056 cherry Hill, Silver Spring, MD; La La Bakery, 5737 Tuxedo Road, Hyattsville, MD

All the establishments passed re-inspections and are back in business.

Angry baker smashes WUSA9's camera

Inspectors closed La La Bakery, 5737 Tuxedo Road in Hyattsville, MD citing 31 violations.  Officials noted a roach and rat infestation, lack of approved plumbing and the bakery door open to the outside. 

Traffic signals getting upgrade in DuPont Circle

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) --  Police in D.C. say DDOT is controlling the DuPont Circle traffic "until further notice" on Tuesday.

Crews are upgrading the traffic signals there.

Police ask drivers to slow down as they enter the circle.

Car2Go back up and running after disruption

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- car2go is back to full service, according to the company's Facebook page. 

"car2go is back up and running throughout the entire car2go Home Area! Our teams have identified and addressed the issue that caused the temporary service disruption and are working to make cars available for members," the car2go Facebook post said. 

car2Go, a popular rental smart car service in DC, experienced outages overnight in the DC area. 

The company did not mention what caused the disruption.
