Dupont Hotel held a bridal wedding expo for a cause last Friday night to help those battling breast cancer. Brides Against Breast Cancer attracted brides-to-be across the region to find designer gowns at huge discounts.

“The dressing room is a mad house,” said Brides Against Breast Cancer volunteer who helped with the flow of things and the ‘go back rack’ on Friday evening.

Some gowns were as low as $199 and all of the proceeds benefited the ‘Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.’ This group grants wishes for those battling stage 4 breast cancer.

“All of the gowns are discounted 35-75% off and all of the proceeds go towards granting wishes for terminal breast cancer patients,” said Brittney Wolf, the PR & Project Coordinator of Making Memories, Breast Cancer Foundation.

Brides Against Breast Cancer ran from Friday through Sunday, with the VIP reception on Friday night. The nationwide tour will continue on to Houston, Texas next and will end up holding a total of 30-35 expos across the country. The organization aims to sell at least 40-50 gowns at each sale.
