This notice comes from Christina Miller:

The 4th annual FotoWeek DC proved a great success with over 40,000 people taking part in the week-long festival by either viewing an exhibit or attending one of the many lectures, workshops, and events. The 4th Annual FotoWeek DC International Awards Competition received over 5,600 submissions alone from 44 countries making the exponential growth of this celebration clearly visible. Because of the overwhelming response to FotoWeek Central, located at 1800 L St. NW, Washington, DC, FotoDC has decided to extend this unique destination’s showing.

After a very well received Washington, DC debut, the World Press Photo 2011 traveling exhibition has made its way back to Europe. An equally high caliber show has taken its place,The Eyes of History 2011 presented by the White House News Photographers Association (WHNPA). This exhibition showcases the winning images from the WHNPA’s annual contest and consists of some of the most remarkable images in the world of photojournalism including coverage of the president, Congress, along with major events in DC and around the world.

FotoWeek Central will extend its opening to the following dates:

      Saturday, November 26                                                        12:00pm-6:00pm

      Thursday, December 1 – Saturday, December 3                   12:00pm-6:00pm

      Thursday, December 8 – Saturday, December 10                 12:00pm-6:00pm

      Thursday, December 15 – Saturday, December 17               12:00pm-6:00pm
